North Carolina Inmate Connection (NCIC) is a personalized connection service offering two distinct but connected services: an Inmate Pen Pal Service and a Matchmaking Service. Both are designed to help foster meaningful, respectful connections between incarcerated individuals and those on the outside.

The Pen Pal Service focuses on creating supportive communication through letters and correspondence, while the Matchmaking Service is designed for individuals seeking a more intentional connection built around compatibility, values, and mutual interest. Each service operates independently while working together under the NCIC mission of thoughtful, respectful connection.

The form below is used to gather information for either service. It may be completed by an inmate seeking a pen pal or connection, or by someone on the outside who would like assistance finding or connecting with an inmate. All information submitted is reviewed with care and discretion to help guide the most appropriate path forward.
